I made up my mind a long time ago that I wanted to be a photographer. Taking photos lit up a part of me that seemed to always call out.

I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and mom to 5 amazing kids! I had 3 hospital births and 2 births at home, and love that I have personal knowledge of both kind of birth options. Each birth of mine and that I have the privilege to photograph I have gained insight and empathy into the world of birth and birth choices, as well as how strong women and birthing people are!

My oldest daughter’s birth is what led me to pursue birth photography. Shortly after my daughter was born, I said to my mom, “there should be a photographer at births so you can remember everything! It all goes by too fast!”. The nurse in the room told me about birth photography and with that, I researched, reached out to friends expecting, combined my previous photography skills, and started on the path with birth work. Birth photography for me is a call to service, heart, and soul work and is more than I could have ever imagined.
